I totally can’t believe it, people.
December starts next week. I know. That means even more fantastic holidays are just around the corner! There are Christmas, Boxing Day, Three Kings Day, New Year’s Eve. Ahh… so much to celeBEARate. Whichever holidays you celebrate this year, I hope you get to be with people you love, and if you can’t be with them, I hope you know they are thinking of you.
I don’t live close to my Granny Walters. My granny is really fun (even though she spends days carving wood sculptures of bears and birds) and I love hearing her stories. I don’t know if she is going to be able to visit my parents this Christmas because it is hard for her to travel sometimes. I’ll still write to her. If you can’t be near your friends and family remember to send them a note telling them how much you love them. That’s what the holidays are really about anyway. They aren't about getting presents, they are about drinking hot cocoa with your friends and seeing how many marshmallows will fit in your mug. They’re about helping your parents cook or clean up after big meals and listening to all the stories they have about their holidays when they were little.
Just be sure to give them a hug, whether it’s on the phone, in a letter or in person. One little hug can mean a lot more than you might think!
Have a good December
